The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) announced the WB HS 2024 results today, i.e. May 8, 2024, at 1 pm. The WB HS result 2024 was announced in an official press conference. A total of 764448 candidates have enrolled for the WB HS 12th Exam 2024.

The Telegraph Online Edugraph was in conversation with Avik Das, who is now a name synonymous with excellence and clinched the top position in the West Bengal Class 12 Board Examination 2024. Passing from Mc William Higher Secondary School, Alipurduar, West Bengal, Avik has an outstanding score of 496 marks, achieving a remarkable percentage of 99.2%. He has been declared as the West Bengal topper for WB HS Result 2024.

In this exclusive interview, Avik shared insights into his success and his future aspirations. His joy knew no bounds. “It’s a surreal feeling to achieve such a feat. I am feeling so satisfied and content! I am incredibly grateful for this achievement and the support of my parents and my teachers who have been a constant source of motivation,” says Avik.

Asking what motivated him to aim for such a high score, Avik replies, “I have always been very attentive about my commitment to excellence. I was confident that I would be in the top 5 of West Bengal HS Toppers because my exam went extraordinarily well.”

On asking about his future aspirations, Avik says “I want to pursue Astrophysics and become a scientist. I wish to get admitted to IISc Bangalore or either pursue BSc and MS in Astrophysics and then I would like to do PhD in Astrophysics.”

Speaking to the Headmaster of Mc William’s School, Mr Sudhangshu Biswas, he says, “Avik Das secured 4th position in West Bengal Madhyamik. He has a record of outstanding performance throughout his school and today his perseverance and dedication to academics have shown the path of success.”

“The unwavering support and belief of his parents have been instrumental in his journey of success,” says Mr. Sudhangshu Biswas.

As per the official statistics, the overall pass percentage for WB HS Result 2024 stands at 90%. This year, out of the 58 toppers, 35 are male and 23 are female students.
