Director Simon Stone is known for his 2021 movie The Dig featuring Carey Mulligan. The makers are yet to announce the release date of the upcoming film.

The novel follows journalist Lo Blacklock’s experiences while covering a luxury travel assignment aboard a boutique ultra-luxury cruise ship populated by a select few incredibly affluent passengers. Initially, the experience feels idyllic, but everything takes a sinister turn one night when the journalist witnesses a horrifying incident — a woman thrown overboard. Despite this, all passengers are present the next morning, and the ship continues its journey unperturbed as if the event never occurred.

“Exhausted and emotional, Lo has to face the fact that she may have made a mistake - either that, or she is now trapped on a boat with a murderer,” reads the synopsis of the book.

Published by Scout Press, The Woman in Cabin 10 appeared on the New York Times Best Sellers list for 19 consecutive weeks.

The author Ruth Ware is also known for novels The Lying Game, One Perfect Couple and In a Dark, Dark Wood.

Keira, an Oscar-nominated actress, last appeared in the 2023 crime thriller Boston Strangler alongside Carrie Coon.
