Minnie Juneja has been associated with her over-five-decade-old family business for over 15 years. However, about a decade ago, her thirst for knowledge, creativity, and commitment to social responsibility made her start her brand Fenasia Lifestyle, a renowned name in handbags and lifestyle products. This year, she has been appointed president of the Ladies Study Group, an organisation with which she shares a two-decade-long association. Her vision at Fenasia always extended far beyond aesthetics. Being from Calcutta, she wanted to champion the cause of Bengal’s artisans. With her dedication to uplifting those around her always, Minnie takes up this new role. A t2 chat with the pretty lady as she begins her term:

As the newly appointed president of the Ladies Study Group (LSG), I am overwhelmed with a profound sense of honour and excitement. Leading such a prestigious organisation is not only a privilege but also a responsibility I embrace wholeheartedly. I am deeply committed to upholding the values and traditions of LSG while also striving to innovate and enhance our offerings, ensuring that every member feels supported, inspired and empowered to thrive in their personal and intellectual journeys.

When did your association with LSG start and how did it help you in your journey over the years?

My association with LSG began over two decades ago. Over the years, LSG has been an invaluable source of support, providing me with unparalleled networking opportunities and insightful perspectives. The connections forged within LSG have not only propelled my professional growth but have also nurtured my personal development. Through LSG, I have honed my skills and built lasting relationships that continue to shape me, on my journey.

Can you take us through your goals for LSG?

The theme for the year is ‘The Power of Now’. Rooted in the timeless wisdom of Eckhart Tolle, this theme underscores the paramount importance of mindfulness and embracing the present moment. My objectives for LSG revolve around fostering a culture of empowerment and growth, unity, inclusivity and collaboration that transcends boundaries. I envision expanding our outreach, enhancing member engagement and implementing initiatives that address the evolving needs of our community.

What are some of your most memorable moments at LSG over the years?

Reflecting on my longstanding association with LSG, I am filled with a treasure trove of cherished memories that have enriched my journey. From engaging in profound discussions and forging meaningful collaborations to spearheading impactful initiatives and orchestrating memorable events, each moment has woven a tapestry of experiences that resonate deeply with me.

Being an active entrepreneur and the president of LSG, how do you plan to balance the two leadership roles in your professional life?

Balancing my role as an entrepreneur and president of LSG demands meticulous planning and strategic prioritisation. Harnessing my organisational prowess, adept delegation skills and refined time management techniques will be crucial to navigating these dual leadership responsibilities effectively. Moreover, I’m fortunate to have a dependable advisory body, a supportive governing body and a dedicated committee, whose collective expertise and assistance will strengthen the organisation’s operations and enable me to fulfil both roles effectively.

Do you think your previous experience in such a leadership role in your own company will help you to adopt the right strategies in this organisation and vice versa?

Undoubtedly. The insights gained from navigating complex challenges, fostering team cohesion and driving innovation in my entrepreneurial endeavours will directly inform my approach within the organisational framework of LSG. Likewise, the unique dynamics and collaborative opportunities inherent in leading LSG will provide fresh perspectives and insights to enrich my leadership toolkit in my own company. This reciprocal exchange of knowledge ensures a holistic approach to leadership that will help me to maximise success in both spheres.

What are some of the lessons from the past chairpersons of this organisation that you think will help you in your journey?

The invaluable lessons in leadership, resilience, and vision passed down by the past chairpersons of LSG have been instrumental in helping me prepare for the journey ahead.

Are there any major changes you look forward to bringing to this organisation or introducing any initiatives?

I’m enthusiastic about spearheading new initiatives to propel the organisation forward. Among my priorities are leveraging digital platforms to enhance connectivity, implementing skill-building workshops to empower members and forging strategic partnerships to amplify our collective impact.

What would your message be to people wanting to join LSG as new members?

Here, one can find a supportive network, enriching experiences and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Together, we embark on a journey of empowerment, collaboration and success.
