Roads to avoid

AJC Bose Road, in front of Calcutta Club and Rabindra Sadan. A flyover is coming up. Chowringhee. Work on flyover in progress. Southern Avenue. A drainage pumping station is being erected.

Theatre

The Spirit of Anne Frank, with Zohra Sehgal, Shabana Azmi and Nandita Das, at Vidya Mandir, from 7 pm. Chanda Bedni, by Nata Bundele from Bhopal, as part of Nandikar’s 19th International Theatre Festival, at Academy of Fine Arts, from 6.30 pm.

Symposium

International Symposium on Plant Biodiversity: Conservation and Evaluation, on Bose Institute’s main campus, 3 pm to 7 pm.

Poetry

Shabana Azmi will release Mere Bachpan ke Chand, a collection of poems by Dewakar, at Abanindra Sabhagriha, at 4 pm. Sunil Gangopadhyay will also attend.

Fest

Umang 2002, the inter-college fest of the Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society, on the college premises, 10 am to 6 pm.

Art

An exhibition on icons and symbols in Indian Art, Brahma to Bapu, at Cima Gallery, 2 pm to 7 pm.

Music

A trance music trio will perform with Project K at MusicWorld, 5.30 pm.
