The two-day racing bonanza that kicks off at the Malakpet racecourse of Hyderabad Saturday, may see the best of country’s horses-flesh flexing muscles.

A total stake of Rs 1.3 crore will be up for grabs during the weekend. The Sprinters’ Cup and the Stayers’ event take top-slots on Saturday while the all-imporatnt Indian Turf Invitation Cup follows on Sunday.

Nevertheless, Cooji Katrak’s Palazzio, in the hands of Mallesh Narredu, seems to be a certainty in the Sprint while Bold Bird gets the first call in the Stayers’ Cup.
