Calcutta: Bengal named the list of 27 probables for the forthcoming Ranji Trophy season. Rohan Gavaskar has been named the captain while veteran Safi Ahmed makes a comeback. Also included is Nikhil Haldipur, who had a forgettable last season.

The two under-19 pace bowlers — Sourav Sarkar and Ambar Roy, who impressed last season, have also been included in the list of probables.

Meanwhile, Aadit Osatwal was named the best junior player (110 points) of the season Thursday.
