Burdwan, Aug. 7: Residents demanding a higher platform held up the Sealdah-bound Rajdhani Express today for four hours at Masagram station in the Howrah-Burdwan line, reports our correspondent.

Residents of Jaugram were joined by a mob of students in the rail roko from 9.25 am.

Up Poorva Express was held up at Gurap and several local trains to Howrah had to be cancelled. The Howrah-bound Rajdhani, however, reached its destination in time as it was diverted via the main line.
