Muzaffarpur win in SAI soccer

SAG Muzaffarpur hammered SAG Kishangunj 7-0 in the regional level SAI football meet on Monday. In other matches, STC Siliguri beat STC Patna 3-1, SAG Namchi defeated STC Bardhaman 4-2, while STC Lebong pipped SAG Agartala 2-1.

Red card

Joydeep Ghosh of FCI was sent off in their First division group A league match with Peerless for two bookable offences. Ghosh scored one in his team’s 2-3 defeat.

Cross country

Sukanta Santra and Nasima Khatoon won the men’s and women’s titles, respectively, in the third leg of the Millennium Cross Country League on Sunday. The winners head the respective tables in the seven-leg meet.

Karate meet

The 11th state karate championship will be held at Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday and Monday.
