Siliguri, Feb. 8: A 34-year-old Bangladeshi posing as an ayurvedic doctor was arrested today on charges of spying on military establishments.

Joydeb Sarkar was captured by a team of military intelligence sleuths and policemen from a remote village close to the international border. Army sources said he had built a rapport with people dispensing free services as a doctor. The villages he went to were all close to the cantonments in Bagdogra and Jalpaiguri.

Roadblock

VIP Road was blocked near Sribhumi tonight after an accident in which two people were hurt. The protesters held the police responsible for accidents in the area.
