New Delhi, Feb. 8: Automobile exports soared 60 per cent in April-December to 3.41 lakh units from 2.13 lakh a year ago as cars, commercial vehicles and two-wheelers continued to attract overseas buyers. The data was compiled by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers. Car exports grew 73 per cent to 86,746 units with Maruti Udyog Ltd posting a 67 per cent rise to 34,364 units.

New Delhi, Feb. 8: Data Access, an international long-distance telephony company, has filed an application with the Securities and Exchange Board of India for its proposed initial public offer. The shares will be sold through 100 per cent book-building.

Service tax

New Delhi, Feb. 8: The government is likely to attain over 100 per cent growth in service tax collections this fiscal at Rs 8,300 crore by netting over 4.6 lakh service providers by March. The Centre has mopped up Rs 5,089 crore in April-December.
