Manipur exhibition

A five-day Manipur show will be held at NEDFi Haat, Guwahati, from February 11 to 15. The exhibition, organised by NEDFi, will have over 16 participants from Manipur. J.P. Saikia, chief managing director, NEDFi, will formally inaugurate the show on February 11 at 11 am. The show will display a wide variety of handloom and handicrafts, traditional dress materials, kauna bags and dry flower arrangement.

Kavi sanmelan

Lion’s Club of Tinsukia centurion will organise a Hasya Kavi Sanmelan on March 1 at Paradise cinema hall, Tinsukia, from 6 pm. Hasya Kavi Samrat Surendra Sharma, along with three Hasya Kavis Mahendra Ajanabi, Niraj Puri, Bed Prakash Deb and Sita Sagar will participate in the sanmelan.

Refresher courses

A refresher course on disability, sponsored by Rehabilitation Council of India, scheduled for February 23, has been postponed till February 27.

One-act play

The 25th Northeast one-act play competition, organised by Jyotirupa, a socio-cultural organisation, will be held from February 20 to 22 at district library auditorium, Guwahati. Kishore Thakuria mono-acting competition will be held on the first day from 5 pm. Awards for excellence in film, television and music will be presented on February 25.

Dak Adalat

The 49th Dak Adalat of Assam postal circle will be held on February 16 at the chamber of the chief postmaster general, Assam circle, Panbazar, Guwahati.
