Pebble Beach (California): India-born Swede Daniel Chopra further improved his position with a four-under third round, while Calcutta Arjun Atwal was creeping up at 28th on the strength of a parred third round for a total of 214 the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Satrurday.

World number two Vijai Singh of Fiji overcame a shaky start to shoot a second straight 68 and share the third-round lead of with Arron Oberholser.

Oberholser, who shot a 67, and Singh are on 13-under-par 203, three strokes ahead of Jeff Maggert and the British pair of Phillip Price and Luke Donald.

Phil Mickelson is alone in sixth place on 207.

Sunday’s final round will be held at Pebble Beach.
