Bhopal: Bengal and Manipur moved into the final of the 12th national women’s football championship on Monday.
In one-sided semi-final matches , Manipur defeated Kerala 5-0 while the Bengal eves eliminated Bihar 4-0 to set up a final clash on Wednesday.
Manipur led 2-0 at half time. The first goal was scored in the 32nd minute by N. Geetarani. K. Dhanpati extended the lead in the 42nd minute.
The other scorers were B. Maichondevi (53rd), Shakhitombi (68th) and Shantidevi (71st).
In the second semi-final, Bengal displayed spectacular skills. The scorers were Sapna Gudiya (21st), Sujata Kar (54th), Papiya Ghosh (57th) and Rinku Ghosh (78th).
