Celebration

A multimedia presentation on George Sand and Frederic Chopin and a soiree of selected pieces of Chopin will be held to mark the year of George Sand at Oxford Bookstore, 6.30 pm and 6.45 pm.

Tribute

The 103rd birth anniversary of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee will be celebrated at University Institute Hall, on Bankim Chatterjee Street, 5.30 pm.

Health tips

Interactive sessions on medical and health-related issues, addressed by professionals from various fields, will be hosted by British Council to mark Medical Week at 16, Camac Street, 10 am to 8 pm. A workshop on diseases communicable from animals to humans, to mark World Zoonosis Day, will be organised by Rotary International District 3290, in association with Ekdalia Evergreen Club, on the club premises, 9 am to 1 pm.

Summer Show, an all-India exhibition of paintings and sculptures on display at CIMA Gallery, 2 pm to 7 pm. A demonstration of paper-cutting by Prabal Pramanik at the inauguration of an exhibition of his paintings, drawings, paper sculptures and pastel works at Birla Academy of Art & Culture, 4 pm. An exhibition of works by Subhashis Saha and Ashis Kirtania on the theme of Barsha at Gallery Kanishka’s, 11 am to 8 pm.
