Mahindras in South Africa

Mumbai, July 20: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd is planning to enter the South African market. The automobile major will soon launch its utility-vehicle, Scorpio, in that country.

Mahindra & Mahindra South Africa (Pty) Ltd will be the local company that will import vehicles from India for distribution in South Africa. The company will also provide after-sales service and supply spare parts.

In addition to Scorpio, the South African unit of the Mahindras will also import and distribute the Bolero Pick-Up utility vehicles (UV).

Anand Mahindra, managing director of M&M said, “It is a matter of great pride for us to take India’s most successful sports utility vehicle to South Africa.”
