EXHIBITION

Till July 25 at Nirvana China House, 8B Middleton Street; 11 am - 8 pm: Nirvana China House is showcasing original Chinese porcelain from Jingdezhen in south China’s Jiangxi province.

Performing arts

July 21 - 26 at Sree Satyananda Devayatan, 1 Ibrahimpur Road, Jadavpur; 6 pm: The 77th birth anniversary of Sree Archana Maa will be celebrated with classical music, audio-play and recitation, poetry-reading and discourses. Today: Classical vocal by Suranjana Bose. July 22 at The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Vivekananda Hall; 6 pm: An evening of Malhars featuring Ulhas Kashalkar (vocal) and Partho Sarothy (sarod), with Purushottam Walawalkar (harmonium) and Subhankar Banerjee (tabla).

WORKSHOP

PRODUCT LAUNCH

July 21 at the premises of Nice ’n’ Fresh, 19 Ballygunge Circular Road; 11 am: The launch of a private label of herbal lifestyle products under the aegis of Nice ’n’ Fresh. The products have been made by various women’s groups under RASA (Ruro Agro Services Association), a trust formed by the NGO, Sasha, to train underprivileged women in rural and semi-rural areas about herbs.

POETRY FESTIVAL

July 30 at Srijan rooftop; 6 pm: Youth Poetry Festival. Srijan invites poems (by July 24) from those who are below 25 and write in English, Bengali, Hindi and Urdu to read their poems at the Youth Poetry Festival in presence of a panel of distinguished poets.
