COOCH BEHAR
Fresh start

October 9 was a special day for the students of the mathematics department of ABN Seal College. On that day we celebrated our Annual Reconciliation Festival. After a speech by Swapan Kumar Chakraborty, our senior-most lecturer, there was a rakhi and tilak ceremony in which the second and third year students accorded a warm welcome to the newcomers.

A personal ability competition was held after this, in which both newcomers and seniors participated with equal gusto. This was followed by a guitar performance by Deb Kumar Chakroborty. After this, the newcomers introduced themselves and gorged on the delicious lunch packets provided by the seniors.

At the end of the programme, everyone ? seniors and juniors ? grooved to some peppy music.
