I Think
Are talent hunts really about talent?

India is a country of vast talent. Millions of youngsters dream of making it big on the silver screen. However, very few are lucky enough to make it. Talent hunts enable small-town boys and girls to make a serious pitch for the glamour world .

Talent hunts are just for enjoyment and publicity. Of course, it?s a complete waste of time for the participants and instant amusement for the audience. So, I would say, ?Just enjoy it.?

I don't think talent hunt contests are about finding talent. Their glamour value is used to increase the show?s popularity, boost TRP ratings and attract sponsors. The selection procedure is neither scientific nor transparent.

I don't believe they are about finding talent. Mostly, the judges disqualify the really talented and give a chance to those who are just not suitable. These contests are about earning big bucks and detracting young minds from studies.

Almost all tv channels are promoting these contests, primarily to make money. Quality is being compromised in favour of quantity. Thus, they are losing credibility and are not unearthing real talent.
