Hospital ?abuse?

Burdwan, April 1: A 15-year-old patient, Asit Pakre, has accused a Burdwan Medical College and Hospital doctor of sexually abusing him on the pretext of offering him treatment.

The hospital authorities ordered a probe last night following a written complaint from the boy. Dr Utpal Mitra of the orthopaedic department described the charge as ?false and baseless? and declined comment.

Teacher ?love?

Krishnagar: The lady physical education teacher accused of making sexual advances towards a Class VIII girl of a Nadia school admitted on Friday she wrote love letters and offered to undergo a sex change to marry her. Papiya Dutta of Aranghata Girls? High School in Chakdah, 60 km from Calcutta, was showcaused on March 28. Dutta said she had a ?very personal relationship? with the girl. ?I gave a written apology when her mother lodged the complaint.?

Eco fuel

Calcutta: The high court will stall fuel sales of Bharat Petroleum, Hindusthan Petroleum and Indo-Burma petroleum if they fail to file by April 8 a report saying what steps they had taken to supply eco-friendly fuel.
