CC&FC edge past WB Police

CC&FC edged past West Bengal Police 3-2 in the 110th Beighton Cup hockey match at the CC&FC on Friday. Theodre Bakaa, Srikant Maity, Hemant Aindh scored for the winners while Stephen found the target twice for the losers. In other matches, Eastern Railway beat Calcutta Customs by a Manoj Kujur goal, while Bengal Junior XI won over Police AC 4-3 via the tie-breaker. The winners entered third round.

Agarpara Mahajati Vidyapith beat Behala High School 22-0 in a Bankim inter-school football match for the Anmol-Duckback Cup on Friday. Rudra Dhar (7), Debasish Bhowmick (5), Sumit Biswas (7), Shantanu Nath, Jahangir Mondal and Prasenjit Majumder scored the goals.
