play time

Okay, so it is finally official ? playing outdoors and generally getting dirty is a vital part of the experience of growing up. A campaign called ?Dirt Is Good? in England, which aims to remind children the joy of playing without worrying about getting dirty, has come out with a list of 33 activities that one must do before turning 10. An opinion poll shows that the favourite activity chosen by those questioned was building a sand castle, followed by other interesting hobbies like collecting frog spawn, picking strawberries and finding worms in the garden. Research shows that many children think twice before indulging in activities that might see them returning home dirty and soaked in mud. So, what would be the Indian equivalents of these? Cycling on a flooded street, climbing a tree to pick guavas might be some of them. But maybe you should ask Mom before trying them out!

movie hour

Mike and sully are back, and so is little girl Boo. But this time you can catch their adventures on the small screen. All you have to do is to walk into the nearest store and grab a copy of the DVD or VCD of Monsters, Inc. In case you didn?t know, Mike is a little green chap, while Sully is a huge purple monster with dinosaur spikes and their job is to simply scare little children. But complications arise when Boo makes friends with the two of them. The movie adds to the list of Disney hits like The Incredibles and Mary Poppins available in VCD/DVD format.
