The Salman Khan tapes are definitely not genuine. Had they been genuine, they would have appeared much earlier, and not immediately before the release of a movie featuring the actor in a lead role.

No. The very fact that the Mumbai police suppressed the tape for four years raises doubts about its authenticity. Further, the tape lacks clarity and in this tech-savvy age it could have also been manufactured. I feel that the whole matter is fabricated and this is just an attempt to show Salman Khan in a bad light.

Everyone is aware of Salman Khan?s reputation. His wayward lifestyle highlights his true persona. Moreover, it is not unnatural for our filmstars to have underworld connections. Salman Khan has already been accused of killing an innocent pavement dweller. He has not even spared endangered animals. I think that the tapes are genuine. I would not put anything past him.

Leave Salman alone! If these tapes were authentic, what took the police four years to discover it? If Salman was guilty, then why did he cooperate with the police during the questioning session?
Aliasgar Poonawala

No. I don?t think so. The tape is not clear and one can hardly make out the voices. The Mumbai police are shooting in the dark. I feel the issue is being needlessly politicised. Judgment should be reserved until concrete evidence linking the actor to the underworld comes to light.
