Eligibility

You must have a minimum of four years of college/university education beyond the 12 years of senior secondary school and must qualify in GMAT and TOEFL before the start of the course.

Entrance exam

Selection for the global MBA programme is based on GMAT and TOEFL scores as well as group discussion and personal interview conducted by an IMT-FDU committee at IMT, Ghaziabad.

Pattern of exam

The graduate management admission test (GMAT) examination consists of three main parts: analytical writing assessment, quantitative section and the verbal section.

GMAT begins with analytical writing assessment. It consists of two separate writing tasks: analysis of an issue and analysis of an argument. Test takers are allowed 30 minutes to complete each essay.

The quantitative section consists of 37 multiple-choice questions of two question types: data sufficiency and problem solving. Test takers are allowed a maximum of 75 minutes to complete the entire section.

The verbal section consists of 41 multiple-choice questions of three question types: reading, comprehension, critical reasoning and sentence correction.

Test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL) is a standardised test that evaluates your English proficiency. It consists of four sections: listening, structure, reading and writing which includes one essay.

How to prepare

The guide books for GMAT are by Barron, Princeton Review and Kaplan. For quantitative ability, revise your concepts from books like Quantitative Ability by R.S. Agarwal and Mathematics by Tata McGraw Hill.

Prepare for analytical assessment from guide books for GMAT and read Reasoning by Edgar Thorpe. It is important to develop accuracy with speed.
