Identity crisis

And you thought that Daniel Radcliffe was the biggest teenage star of this generation! Wait till you hear this. Fans in Australia apparently think that Radcliffe is none other than The Lord of the Rings hero Elijah Wood, who plays Frodo Baggins in the movie. And this piece of news has come straight from the horse’s mouth ? Daniel himself has admitted this recently. According to him, every now and then fans in Australia see him and scream out: “Hey, Frodo!” Daniel doesn’t mind though. He’s even signed a few autographs with “Much love, Elijah Wood” scrawled in his own hand. After all, who would want to disappoint a bunch of eager fans? Now, only if grown-ups were half as sensible. Imagine bumping into Sylvester Stallone and calling out, “Hi, Arnie!” Let’s not even think about what would happen after that.

Junk the garbage

We all know how harmful plastic is for the environment ? but finally schoolchildren have decided to do something about it. December 5 saw the launch of Sunfeast Hara Banao Campaign week, which saw the active participation of a number of schools and their nature clubs. Among other activities, the kids organised a signature campaign to “say no to plastic”. Paper and cloth bags were also distributed to discourage people from using plastic rampantly.
