Kim’s pet plight. This is the real one. A puppy, whom she calls her little ‘big monster’ has been chewing on her collection of shoes. Kim adores her Savannah a lot but so does she her shoes. She has almost 200 pairs of shoes, but can’t keep her pet away from them coz Savannah loves ’em too! So now she’s got her a trainer who would teach her to chew on something else for a change. Kim’s brain maybe?

Vivek undergoes change ? for Ash?

Is the Ash-Vivek relationship still on? Speculation about an impending split had started right from the word ‘go’. The watch-docs were reading symptoms through every second of their lives for all these three years. And it’s still on! So when was Aishwarya and Vivek (now Viveik Anand) last seen together? At a friend’s party in August after which she left for Tunisia for her Hollywood project. Are they still in touch now that she is back? Well, she’s deep into her Bollywood commitments. He is busy with his movies and that explains the absence of any public appearances together. Did Ash ever show any sign of being in love with Vivek? You know she believes in keeping her private life private. She was very very upset with Vivek when he openly proclaimed his love for her. Bechara Vivek must be heartbroken, after all he had taken panga with the Khan for her and now see how he’s being ignored. Nothing is going his way and happiness looks a distant possibility. Is that the reason why he’s changed his name to Viveik Anand Oberoi?

Sorting her out

Amrita Rao, the extra-sweet girl-next-door, abused Esha on the sets of Pyare Mohan! It happens to all of us. One day, after packup, Amrita is said to have hurled abuses at Esha in front of the director (Indra Kumar) and the cameraman. Now that was too much for even the normally calm Esha to digest. And before anybody could do anything a furious Esha had landed one tight slap right across Amrita’s face! There have been denials from Amrita’s side about the incident, but Esha isn’t denying anything. She’s happy to have taught the brat a lesson. And also issued a statement claiming responsibility, but added that it was sorted out!

About Tom, Dick, Harry, Pyare and Mohan

Even as Deepak Tijori’s Tom Dick & Harry seems to have got itself into a titular tangle with Sohail Khan, there seems to be more trouble round the corner for this comedy about a deaf, blind and mute trio of masti-makers.

The Masti maker, Indra Kumar, is currently putting finishing touches to a comedy in Bangkok called Pyare Mohan where Fardeen Khan plays a blind guy and Vivek Oberoi a deaf dude.

The immediately interesting part of this project isn’t the sudden upsurge of interest in the physically/emotionally challenged after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Khamoshi: The Musical, Vipul Shah’s Aankhen, Bhansali’s Black and Nagesh Kukunoor’s Iqbal, but the fact that another film, Tijori’s Tom Dick & Harry is also about three physically impaired heroes played by Dino Morea, Jimmy Shergil and Anuj Sawhney.

Pyare Mohan seems to be on a direct collision course with Tom Dick & Harry. “Not really,” says the super-confident leading man Dino Morea who plays the deaf Tom in Tijori’s comedy of survival. “We’re aware Pyare Mohan treads the same territory. But we’ve nothing to fear.

First, because I believe we’ve made a better film. And second, because we’re coming before them. Our release date is January 20. Going by the amount of fun we’re having during the shoot, I can imagine how much the audience will enjoy the film.”

The buzz from the sets of Tom Dick & Harry is that Dino is devastatingly funny in the film. “I’m just discovering my funny bone,” he chuckles. “I’m a great prankster on the sets. I’ve been constantly playing pranks on all my costars during the film. In fact, I just tied Celina Jaitly’s shoe laces together. If she can’t fall in love with me, she can at least fall, ha-ha.”

Comic camaraderie is compulsory to make a comedy work onscreen, insists Dino. “We’ve been having a whole lot of comedies about heroes in twos and threes bumbling through life. And now we’ve two films about physically impaired heroes. Tom Dick & Harry never makes fun of the characters.

It shows how the three of us who are deaf, mute and blind use all the devices at our disposal to survive. I don’t know what they’re doing in Pyare Mohan. But I know we’re making a sincere and funny film.”
