Poulami, Mouma to lead charge

New Delhi: Indian paddlers will get an opportunity to lock horns with Asian powerhouses China, Korea, Japan and Hong Kong in the Asia Cup starting from December 18 at the Sirifort Auditorium here.

India’s top paddler Sharath Kamal and No. 2 Soumyadeep Roy will take on the hosts’ challenge in the $20,000 tournament. Poulami Ghatak and Mouma Das will be the representatives in the women’s section.

Top 12 players in the men’s section and 10 best women paddlers of Asia will vie for the coveted award in the men’s and women’s singles contest at the 18th edition of the tournament. (PTI)
