Hero’s hour

This is the unique story of Superman going the Humpty Dumpty way. According to latest reports, Brandon Routh ? who plays the cape-clad superhero in Superman Returns that releases next year ? is giving movie producers sleepless nights ? all because of his bulge. The picture of Brandon you see above was taken some time back. Apparently, when Brandon dons the famous blue-and-red costume now, all the attention gets focussed on his midriff. After a brainstorming session, producers have decided to use digital effects to erase Brandon’s ample belly. The late Christopher Reeve ? the earlier Superman ? must be shaking his head from up there.

Travel in time

Anita is like any other 13-year-old. But one morning something strange happens to her. She wakes up to find that, instead of her home in Bangalore, she is in San Francisco. She can’t figure out how and when she got there, she doesn’t even know anyone. What’s even worse, no one wants to believe her wild tale. So what happens to Anita? And can she return home safe? To find out, read Wrong Side of the Bed by Poojitha Prasad. Brought out by Rupa & Co, it’s priced at a modest Rs 150. Poojitha, by the way, was just over 14 when she wrote the book.
