ABB puts up good show

ABB India, a power and automation technologies company, has reported a net profit of Rs 94.61 crore for the quarter ended December 31, up 34 per cent from the last year period. The company booked revenues of Rs 1,001.62 crore for the fourth quarter, registering a growth of 31 per cent, compared with Rs 762.18 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, a company release said. ABB India closed the year with a cumulative revenue of Rs 3,014 crore, registering a growth of 31 per cent over 2004.

Century Textiles & Industries Ltd has reported a 7.86 per cent dip in net profit to Rs 30.33 crore for the quarter ended December 31 compared with Rs 32.92 crore for the same quarter during the previous fiscal. Total income, however, increased to Rs 699.48 crore for the third quarter this fiscal from Rs 667.36 crore in the year-ago period, up 4.81 per cent.

Havell?s India

Havell's India Ltd has registered a 76.35 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 15.89 crore for the quarter ended December 31 against Rs 9.01 crore for the corresponding period in the previous year. The company has posted an increase of 42.54 per cent in gross sales at Rs 257.45 crore for the quarter ended December 31 against Rs 180.61 crore in the year-ago period.

3i Infotech

3i Infotech has reported a 57 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 16.3 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal against Rs 10.38 crore posted an year ago. Total revenues stood at Rs 114.3 crore with a 52 per cent year-on-year growth.

Marico net

Marico Industries has posted a 24 per cent increase in its net profit for the third quarter ended December 31 at Rs 21.9 crore compared with Rs 17.65 crore in the year-ago period. Revenues during the reporting quarter increased 16.92 per cent to Rs 304 crore from Rs 260 crore in the year-ago period.

Indo Rama

Indo Rama Textiles has reported an increase of 5.35 per cent in its net profit to Rs 3.35 crore for the third quarter ended December 31 from Rs 3.18 crore in the year-ago period. However, the gross sales for the quarter declined by 11.37 per cent to Rs 96.35 crore from Rs 108.72 crore in the corresponding period last year.

RCF net dips

Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilisers Ltd (RCF) has posted a 6 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 27.75 crore for the quarter ended December 31 compared with Rs 29.53 crore for the same quarter in 2004-05. However, the total income has increased 5.87 per cent to Rs 822.06 crore from Rs 776.48 crore in the year-ago period.

Rolta India

Rolta India has posted a 34.56 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 35.27 crore in the quarter ended December 31 against Rs 26.21 crore in the year-ago period.
