Pak slur irks Aziz

Washington, Jan. 24 (PTI): Dismissing former US diplomat Richard Holbrooke’s remarks that Pakistanis were “weird” people, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said his countrymen were “promising and vibrant”.

He added that no society was immune from having different kinds of people.

Nepal clashes

Kathmandu (Reuters): Nepali riot police clashed with pro-democracy protesters in the capital for a fourth day on Tuesday, firing tear gas and using water cannons to beat back hundreds of demonstrators.
