Md. Sp. hold Sporting

Calcutta: Mohammedan Sporting, who were down to 10 men in the 47th minute, produced another spirited display to draw 1-1 with Sporting Clube De Goa in the 10th National League Football at the Salt Lake Stadium on Tuesday.

Sporting drew the first blood in the 41st minute through Edeh Chiddi. After receiving a through from the centre-half, Chiddi dribbled past three black-and-white defenders and placed it for Dudu Omagbemi inside the box. Dudu relayed it back to Chiddi whose powerful right-footer found the net.

Mohammedan Sporting didn’t have to wait long and five minutes later found the equaliser through Bijen Singh.
