Weekends are an alien concept for an actor. So on days when I am free, I like to spend the entire day with myself. I usually do not hang out with friends anywhere. Home is where I like to be.

If I am free over the weekend, which is quite rare, I like to go shopping for the house and pick up little things like food stuff for the fridge. I quite enjoy doing such shopping on my own. Otherwise, it’s taken care of by the household help. During a free weekend, I also like to catch up with sports. Occasionally, I go and indulge in a game of squash, and then hit the gym. I also go for spa treatments quite often. But let me state that this doesn’t mean that I am a metrosexual man.

I am very much into reading, especially fiction. So I catch up on my reading during the breaks that I get. In fact, I even end up re-reading some books that I am especially fond of. I surf the Internet a lot too, on my laptop. At other times, I enjoy watching films on my home theatre system.

Sometimes I do get long breaks, and then I head off to Pune, where my brother has been posted for the last two years. It’s the only way that we can spend some quality time together. Otherwise, I fly home to Jaipur via Delhi. The last break I took was when I went river rafting in Rishikesh. It was great fun because I am an adventure sports freak.
