Poor Arjun Rampal. This is one good looking hunk who’s been consistent in giving flops. So much so that heroines are now wary of working with him. Shilpa Shetty recently opted out of Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd when she heard that John Abs won’t be able to do the film anymore. Now John Abs’ market value has gone up after his recent Garam Masala and now Taxi No. 9211, and Shilpa had signed on only and simply because she was “keen on working with John because we would have made a unique couple”. When Sexy Shilpa heard John wasn’t a part of the film, she lost it, the interest, we mean. She would rather sit at home twiddling her thumbs.

Amisha, Chops and claws

Amisha’s done it again! This time she’s ruffled Kareena’s good friend Priyanka. Actually, Pri Chops and Amisha had been causing Dharmesh Darshan a lot of hairloss while shooting for Aap Ki Khatir. Though they are playing two affectionate step-sisters, they sat in two different corners throughout the shoot and hardly exchanged a word. The Chops babe finally refused to stay in the same hotel as Amisha. And all that tamaasha happened when Amisha started bitching about Priyanka’s fitness regime. Pri Chops is a known health freak but Amisha called it showing off. When this reached her ears she put her foot down and asked for a hotel change. We will give it to Chops though for not showing Amisha her claws.

She’s very fond of pets, yes, and she used to have everything from white mice to fishes to dogs as pets. What’s more, at one point she had 19 cats! Meeeow! And sample this: she ate five dozen mangoes at one go when she was young coz she didn’t want her brother to have any! And while in school she had placed a packet of itching powder under the fan leaving her classmates scratching all day long. Now, she’s grown up.

Did Himesh Reshammiya anticipate the kind of response his winning of awards for the Best Singer would generate? Does he feel that the other singers are jealous of his success? Is that the reason why he played defensive while receiving the awards? At the Zee Cine Awards he went onstage to say, “Hope this proves a point. I’ll be even better next year.” Earlier at the MTV Awards, when he got two awards for Best Singer and Best Music, he shot off, “Yeh awards maine kharide nahin hai!” He also won the Best Singer award at the Filmfare Awards and Best Singer and New Talent at the Stardust Awards. Quite a handful! But poor Himesh is being accused of being arrogant and bitter, though he defends himself: “I am not good at humour; or maybe my straight-faced look makes people think it’s attitude.” Did you know Himesh is a trained classical singer, after all?
