It?s that time of the year again. The IIT joint entrance exams are just round the corner and many a young mind is aflutter with tension. But don?t worry. If you have really prepared well and are confident, then it will be a cakewalk for you.
I thought of helping you guys by looking up some cool sites on the IIT JEE. I came upon www.iitjee.org, which I think is one of the most useful sites on the exams. It has the usual information regarding exam schedule, the eligibility criteria, syllabus, etc. What makes it stand out, however, is that it has the most updated information.
There are plenty of strategies and tips for aspirants, and I would recommend that every examinee visit this site at least once before appearing for the JEE. You can look up the various pages that feature other websites on the IITs, old question papers, the best books and guides, analysis and tips on the exam. I think knowledge of the related topics will broaden your horizon and give you that extra edge and confidence.
The page that I personally liked best was the one on the analysis of the JEE. It details basic data analysis of the old question papers. It also gives the break up of various subjects and sub-topics. It will tell you that electrostatics and current electricity and electromagnetism have contributed about 15 per cent to the total marks in physics in the past four years. Moreover, these two topics can be more scoring. Similarly, organic chemistry carries the most marks (36 per cent), while calculus holds the most scores in mathematics.
So go ahead and gain confidence for your entrance exams by browsing through www.iitjee.org. All the best!
