Varsity fest

Events, contests and quiz time at Sanskriti 2006, presented in association with The Telegraph, on the Jadavpur University campus, 10 am onwards.

On stage

Rajasthani folk dance & song extravaganza by Rituparna Sengupta and Suchandra, for Rajasthan Diwas, at GD Birla Sabhagar, 7 pm. Rangakarmee will present Rudali, directed by Usha Ganguli, at EZCC, 6 pm. Shinjan Nrityalaya will present Shakti, at Kala Mandir, 7 pm. Heritage concert featuring Bikram Ghosh & Rahul Sharma at Prinsep Monument, 7 pm.

Workshop

Piano workshop by Nadia Lasserson at Calcutta School of Music, 11 am to 1.30 pm.

Contest

Second day of Abilympics Region Competition, eastern region, at Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy, 10.30 am.

Art watch

An exhibition of video sculpture from Germany at CIMA Gallery, 2 pm to 7 pm. Faces at Samokal Art Gallery, 4 pm-8 pm. Japan and India, an exhibition of paintings by Arunava Ray, at Chemould, 2 pm to 7 pm. Changing Images, recent works by Rabindra Bharati University students at Artists Circle, 11 am to 7 pm. A show by Subodh Mondal at KC Das, Esplanade, 8 am to 9.30 pm. An exhibition of photographs, Kashmir: Hameen Ast, at Academy of Fine Arts, 3 pm- 8 pm.
