Margao: Mahindra United rallied to script a 2-1 win over Al Ahed of Lebanan in the return match of AFC Cup here on Tuesday to remain in contention for qualifying for the next round.

Mahindras, who drew Al Ahed 2-2 in the away match, scored through Surajit Bose (77th) and David Adjei (78th), after El Ali of Al Ahed had put their team in the lead in the 50th minute. The win takes Mahindras tally to six points from five matches behind A1 Maharraq (10 pts) and A1 Ahed (7pts).

Dempo lose

Meanwhile in Margao, Al Nasr of Oman kept their unbeaten record intact as they edged past Dempo 1-0 on Tuesday to finish their league engagement from group B in the AFC Cup. M. Ashoor scored the winner. (PTI)
