Calcutta, May 3: Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is set to become a billion-dollar company by the end of calendar year 2006 with a revised full-year revenue guidance of at least $1.3 billion, indicating a 47 per cent growth over 2005.

Earlier, the company had given a revenue guidance of $1.26 billion for 2006.

The total headcount is expected to exceed 35,000 in 2006.

Cognizant has reported a revenue of $285.50 million in the first quarter of 2006, a growth of 57 per cent over $181.7 in the first quarter of 2005.
