Raymond net up at Rs 121 cr
Raymond Ltd?s net profit increased by 45.5 per cent to Rs 121 crore for the fiscal ended March 31, 2006, compared with Rs 83.15 crore in the last fiscal. Revenue increased by 15 per cent to Rs 1,345 crore for the year against Rs 1,169 crore in the previous year. The profit before tax and exceptional items was Rs 173 crore for the year against Rs 116 crore in the previous year, an increase of 49 per cent.
STC profit
The State Trading Corporation has reported a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 17 crore in the quarter in the quarter ended March, against Rs 3.72 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Suryajyoti
Suryajyoti Spinning Mills has announced an increase in net profit (before deferred tax provision) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2006, at Rs 2.16 crore compared with Rs 1.04 crore in the year-ago period.
ISMT results
ISMT Ltd?s net sales grew by 19 per cent to Rs 1,061 crore. The company?s EBIDTA increased by 58 per cent to Rs 251 crore, PAT increased by 250 per cent to Rs 115 crore and operating margin improved from 17.7 per cent to 23.6 per cent.

Ashapura Minechem Ltd has recorded a rise in net profit at Rs 54.53 crore for the year ended March, 2006, compared with Rs 13.72 crore in the previous year. Net profit for the fourth quarter was at Rs 18.93 crore compared with Rs 2.74 crore in the year-ago period.
Vivimed Labs
Vivimed Labs Ltd has reported a profit after tax of Rs 9.30 crore for the fiscal 2005-06, recording a 93 per cent rise over that in the previous year. Total revenue during the period was up 52 per cent to Rs 79,74 crore against Rs 52.34 crore in the previous fiscal.

Lafarge move
Lafarge India launched a safety construction helmet for the masons of eastern India. The company also plans to bring 10,000 masons under the purview of the insurance policy.
Honda bike
The 125-cc Honda Shine has been launched in Calcutta. The bike has two variants, Shine Disc and Shine Drum. It has already been launched in the western and southern regions.The on road price of Shine Disc is Rs 48,204 while that of Shine Drum is Rs 50,127.
