Mumbai, May 8: Satyam Computer Services today announced its partnership with NNIT, the Denmark-based IT company.
The deal includes the implementation of new SAP solutions as well as support and development of existing ones. NNIT and Satyam had already been working together for pharmaceutical customers.
The partnership combines NNITs regional SAP experience and a knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry with Satyams strong global SAP experience and offshore development centres in India, the US, UK, UAE, Canada, Hungary, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Japan and Australia.
Satyam, the countrys fourth largest software company, made an entry into the billion dollar club this year.
The company recently posted a net profit of Rs 289.90 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006, compared with Rs 213.21 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income rose to Rs 1,287.52 crore from Rs 978.64 crore a year ago.
In 2005-06, net profit jumped 65 per cent to Rs 1,239.75 crore from Rs 750.26 crore in the previous year. Total income rose 41 per cent to Rs 5,012.22 crore from Rs 3,546.78 crore.
Satyam recently bagged an outsourcing business contract from CapGemini and HP worth $150 million to be executed over five years.
