DBCA to hold youth chess

Calcutta: In an attempt to promote the rich talent in chess in the state, Dibyendu Barua Chess Academy (DBCA) in association with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of West Bengal will organise ‘Chess for Youth’ at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.

Around 500 participants are going to take part in this five-day event that commences on May 30, will be played in under-16 and 25 categories.

The meet will be played under one-hour rapid chess format and will be of nine-round Swiss league format.

The entries will be accepted at DBCA office at Hindusthan Road from 5 pm.
