If you have been missing Kumar Sanu’s voice for quite some time, breathe easy. He hasn’t been sitting idle; he’s gone and produced a Hindi film, under the banner of Sana Creations, Utthaan. He isn’t new to movie making, though; he had produced a Bengali film earlier, Gaane Bhuvan Bhoriye Debo, in which he played the lead role, too.

Kumar Sanu, like his mentor Kishore Kumar, has also composed music for various films, apart from producing and acting in them. Only, this comes when he’s been put on the side bench for a while with this tidal wave of new singers.

The Hindi film, Utthaan, which stars Priyanshu Chatterjee and Neha Dhupia, is directed by Ujjwal Chatterjee who made a name for himself with the controversial Escape from Taliban.
