Trader looted of lakhs
Three armed criminals on a motorcycle snatched a bag containing Rs 2.3 lakh from Shyamlal Agarwal, a businessman, on Dargah Road on Tuesday afternoon. No one has been arrested. Police said the trio was tipped off about Agarwal’s movement.

Train services
Several long-distance trains from Howrah and Sealdah were cancelled on Tuesday, as services on the Rampurhat-Nalhati section of Eastern Railway’s Howrah division have been suspended because of the recent rains. The trains cancelled included the Sealdah-Varanasi Express, Howrah-Malda Town Janshatabdi Express, Howrah-Jamalpur Express and the Hatey Bazare Express.
