Here’s Govinda making a comeback of sorts in Anees Bazmi’s Sandwich. As we know he will be seen on the big screen again soon with Salaam-e-Ishq and Bhagam Bhag, but Sandwich is the film that marks his comeback this year. So this year we can see Govinda in his old avataar one last time. After Coolie No. 1 and Saajan Chale Sasural, this one’s another ‘double trouble’ for him. Govinda gets sandwiched between the two, yes, wives, Raveen Tandon and Mahima Chaudhary once again. Here Govinda has two additonal problems as well, two identical kids from his two wives and they are the ones who make life really miserable for him. This film was earlier titled Hum Do Hamaara Ek and has been in the making for the last seven years. But that doesn’t leave Govinda any short of expectation in terms of comedy or acting. If followed minutely one might catch some continuity gaffes, but with Govinda the laughathon continues.

Rajbodhu is directed by Partho Pratim Chowdhuri. This is one of Moon Moon Sen’s earliest Bengali films. Here’s a different Moon Moon, an image that’s different from the sexy image she got labelled with later. This is a soft and beautiful Moon Moon Sen, a simple, diligent and poor girl who works for a big firm owned by Utpal Dutt. Ranjit Mallick works there and indulges and helps Samit Bhanja, Utpal Dutt’s son, who like his brother Samit is a good-for-nothing and in love with a cabaret dancer. He believes he’ll be able to bring her back from the dark life and marry her, but fails to understand that she’s after his money. On the other hand when Utpal Dutt falls sick in the desire of seeing his son married Moon Moon is brought in to become his proxy wife. The story builds up from there to its evident conclusion. Utpal Dutt, Bhanu Bandopadhyay and Chhaya Debi are also there for the comedy kicks. With Utpal Dutt there, you know you can’t stop laughing.
