IBP best yet again

Calcutta: IBP won the Merchants’ Cup Tennis Championship for the 16th time on the trot after beating CESC A 2-0 Friday.

In the final at South Club, Saurav Panja beat Asis Sen 6-1, 6-0, before Panja and Tejbir Singh Bhandari saw off Sen and Sujay Dutta 6-1, 6-0. Hutch finished third beating Tata Steel.

In the Losers’ Plate final, ICICI overcame CESC B.

Indo-Bhutan Rally

The first Indo-Bhutan Friendship Rally will be held from December 5. The rallyists will starts from Calcutta and cover the 1300 km distance to Thimphu in four days.
