Chanderpaul to be fit for final

Mumbai: West Indies opener Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who retired (on 57) in Thursday’s semi-final against South Africa, is “much better” and will be fit for Sunday’s final versus Australia.

“Chanderpaul had cramps in both legs... He’s much better and should practise on Saturday afternoon... He’s going to be fit for Sunday,” the team spokesman told The Telegraph on Friday evening.

The West Indies squad arrived here earlier in the day.
