I Think
Should cricketers be paid according to their performance?

No. Right now we need to motivate our players to perform better with proper coaching and inspiring leadership. A pay cut will only demoralise them.

K. Katari

Howrah

Yes, definitely. If a player is paid according to his performance in a match, he will think twice before playing a careless shot.

Aliasgar Poonawala

St Xavier’s College, Calcutta

Yes. A player should be offered a minimum amount for being selected in the team and then be rewarded with incentives for his performance.

Supriyo Patra

George College

No. Paying cricketers according to their performance will put them under a lot of stress, which will ultimately have a deleterious effect on their game.

Govind Saboo

St Xaviers’ College, Calcutta

Yes, only if our players are paid according to their contribution, will they learn to sweat it out to deliver a winning performance.

Anunoy Samanta

Bardhaman
