TELL ME WHY

Do you know why the ocean is salty? You see, rivers erode minerals from rocks and soil, and deposit them into the oceans or, in some cases, lakes. The minerals include sodium and chloride, which when combined become the same salt that seasons our favourite French fries and potato chips. Although rivers transport salt, they themselves don’t become salty because they dump their load into the oceans!
