Pharma firms in pact

Biocon has entered into a joint venture with Neopharma, an Abu Dhabi-based pharmaceutical company, to manufacture and market bio-pharmaceuticals for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Biocon and Neopharma have signed a memorandum of understanding to this effect, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. Neopharma has established a manufacturing facility for finished formulations, which was inaugurated in 2003.

BSEL Infra

BSEL Infrastructure Realty, jointly with Unity Infraprojects, has bagged a Rs 156-crore contract to develop hotel and commercial space at the Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune. The land allotted for the venture is six acres. The project involves provision for 400 hotel rooms and commercial development of three lakh sq ft.

Soma projects

Soma Enterprises Ltd has received five road projects worth over Rs 1,200 crore in Andhra Pradesh. The projects include development of four stretches on the Hyderabad-Bangalore highway on a cash contract basis, totalling to Rs 744 crore and a Rs 460-crore Hyderabad-Nagpur project on BOT basis.

Indepay

Indepay Networks has launched Indepay, a retail distribution and payment network. Indepay, through its proprietary platforms, creates a network of merchants, telcos, banks and online aggregators that allows consumers to purchase goods and services available online at the retail stores.

Fenesta pact

Fenesta Building Systems has signed a contract with Bangalore-based Prestige Estate Projects Pvt Ltd for the development of Prestige Shantiniketan, which covers 10 million sq ft. The project is scheduled to be completed in two years.

Tata Steel

Tata Steel has started off Life Line Express: Hospital on Rails at the Meramundali railway siding in Dhenkanal, Orissa. The Life Line Express is equipped with an operation theatre.

Gateway

Gateway Terminals India’s container terminal facility was recently launched at Jawaharlal Nehru Port at Sheva, Navi Mumbai. Gateway Terminals is a joint venture between APM Terminals and Container Corporation of India Ltd.

Intex monitors

Intex Technologies (India) Ltd has launched a range of wide-screen TFT-LCD monitors. The monitors are equipped with restriction of hazardous substances compatibility and are priced in the range of Rs 7,000 and Rs 9,900.

Panoramic

Panoramic Universal Ltd has been listed on the National Stock Exchange. The company had recently announced its plans to make its foray into realty.
