IIM Calcutta concluded their three-day long annual festival, Carpe Diem on January 14, 2007. The rock competition, Armageddon, held on January 13 and 14 enticed a host of young bands to perform there. Karmic Infusion, the band that stole the attention at last year’s Rock Idols, won rave reviews. They played some original compositions along with cover versions of Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Dream Theatre, Yanni and others. The band also won the Best Drummer award. Of the four bands that made it to the finals, Camouflage, Dan Pitey and Crystal and Witches shared the runner’s up prize.
