Business big push

Assocham is drawing up a report on attracting investments totalling Rs 1 lakh crore by 2010 in Bengal.

If the investments come through, they can generate as many as 3 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities in chemicals, petrochemicals, automobile, food processing, agri-business, information technology and IT-enabled services, Assocham president Venugopal Dhoot said.
