TELL ME WHY

Do you know why spiders spin webs? They use their webs to trap insects for food. Mother spiders spin soft silk around their tiny eggs to protect them.

The silk that they use is made inside their body. There are two kinds of threads, dry and sticky. The dry thread is used to wrap around the insects they trap, and the sticky thread is used for building webs. In fact, it’s interesting how spiders do not get entangled in its own web. They avoid this by differentiating between the different kinds of web they produce. Most spiders also spin a thread to move around. This is called a dragline. The draglines keep Mr Spidy from falling.
